Welcome to Sunny Cove Preschool! I'm Natalie, a local Oceanside resident and the owner of Sunny Cove, and I am so proud to be part of this wonderful community. I bring a deep background in educational leadership, having served as a Principal and Associate Principal in public school districts, a classroom teacher across multiple grade levels, and a holder of a Master of Arts in Education, a California Administrative Services Credential, and a Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.

What ages do you accept?
We welcome children from 8 weeks through age 5. Our programs are infants (8 weeks to 12 months), 1-year-olds, and preschoolers (ages 2 to 5).
What are your hours?
We are open Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We are closed on major holidays.
Are meals included in tuition?
Yes! Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are all included in tuition at no extra cost. Our meals are nutritious and balanced to fuel growing minds and bodies throughout the day.
Do you accept childcare subsidies or vouchers?
Yes. We work with families using CDA and YMCA childcare subsidy programs. If you have a voucher or are applying for one, mention it when you book your tour and we will walk you through the paperwork.
Do you work with military families and fee assistance?
Yes. We are minutes from Camp Pendleton and welcome military families. We accept MCCYN military fee assistance, and we are happy to walk you through the paperwork. If you are PCSing in, tell us your report date when you book a tour, or call us at (760) 496-5240.
How do I enroll my child?
The best first step is to schedule a free tour so you can meet our teachers and see the school. After the tour, we will walk you through the enrollment paperwork and answer any questions about availability.
Is there a waitlist?
Availability varies by age group and time of year. We recommend reaching out as early as possible to check current openings. Book a tour to get started.
Are your staff background-checked and licensed?
Absolutely. Every staff member undergoes a thorough background check before joining our team. Sunny Cove Preschool operates in full compliance with California state childcare licensing regulations.
Do you provide daily updates to parents?
Yes! We believe open communication is essential. Parents receive daily updates on their child's activities, meals, and milestones so you are always in the loop, even when you are at work.
